Decoration for Merit to Machine Industry

(Odznaka "Za Zaslugi dla Przemyslu Maszynowego")

Instituted by decision of the Government of December 27, 1974. Conferred in three grades (gold, silver and bronze) to workers of machine industry for outstanding achievement in professional work, to inventors, rationalizers and other people who contributed to development of machine industry. It can also be awarded for long and efficient work in machine industry.

Badge: round openwork medal, 27 mm in diameter. In the center there is the image of a triangular grip chuck, made in golden, silver or bronze metal, depending on the grade. It si surrounded by the silver oxidized ring representing a ball bearing. The reverse of the ring bears the insctiption ZA ZASLUGI DLA ROZWOJU PRZEMYSLU MASZYNOWEGO. Suspension: a bar of oxidized silver metal in the form of two screws. The badge is worn on the right breast.

Decoration for Merit to Chemical Industry

(Odznaka "Za Zaslugi dla Przemyslu Chemicznego")

Instituted by decision of the Government of June 3, 1977. Conferred in grades (gold and silver) to workers of chemical industry who completed 20 and 10 years of work respectively.

Badge: is a golden, silver or bronze six pointed star, 28 mm in diameter, with cooling tower-like arms. The medallion is hexagonal symbolizing a benzene ring and showing a distillation tower and shears and three small benzene rings covered with green, yellow and red enamel, all on blue background. The reverse bears a four line inscription ZA ZASLUGI / DLA / PRZEMYSLU / CHEMICZNEGO and a laurel spray below.

Suspension: a horizontal bar made up of six small benzene rings and one bigger one half white half red in the middle. The badge is worn on the right breast.

Meritorious Light Industry Worker Decoration

(Odznaka "Zasluzony Pracownik Przemyslu Lekkiego")

Instituted by the Government on January 14, 1971 in two classes (gold and silver) for 20 and 10 years of continuous and exemplary work in light industry.

Badge: round medal, 27 mm in diameter. The obverse shows a red enameled sheet of leather with the crossed needle and spindle - the symbols of light industry. The whole is surrounded by a red ring with the circumscription ZASLUZONY PRACOWNIK : PRZEMYSLU LEKKIEGO. The reverse is blank except for a three line inscription MINISTERSTWO / PRZEMYSLU LEKKIEGO.

Suspension: rectangular matal bar, 20 x 7 mm with an ornament in the form of laurel sprays.

Meritorious Printer Decoration

(Odznaka "Zasluzony Drukarz")

Instituted by the Government on November 10, 1978. Conferred in a single class for meritorious work in pronting and polygraphic industry. The decoration was conferred by the Minister of Culture and Arts.

Badge: silver oval medal 25 x 28 mm. The obverse shows a standing gryphon (the symbol of printing arts) facing left, surounded by a laurel spray on the left and an inscription ZASLUZONY DRUKARZ on the right. The reverse is blank.

Suspension: metal bar 25 x 7 mm, with a yellow red and blue tricolor. Note: the decoration should not be confused with the honorary title of Meritorious Printer, which stood much higher in the award system of the People's Republic of Poland.

Meritorious Worker of Farming Industry Decoration

Meritorious Worker of Farming Purchase Decoration

(Odznaka "Zasluzony Pracownik Przemyslu Spozywczego i Skupu")

Instituted by the Government on June 9, 1972. Conferred in two classes (gold and silver) for the workers of farming purchase who had completed at least 15 or 10 years of exemplary work.

Badge: cross pattée, 35 x 35 mm composed of four stylized corn spikes. The central medallion is a gearwheel covered with red enamel and depicting a grain elevator. Inside the medallion there is a ring inscribed ZASLUZONY PRACOWNIK PRZEMYSLU SPOZYWCZEGO I SKUPU. The reverse is blank, save a four-line inscription MINISTERSTWO / PRZEMYSLU / SPOZYWCZEGO / I SKUPU.

Suspension: metal bar 19 x 8 mm, composed of two horizontal bars: white (upper) and red (lower). The reverse has a mounting pin.

Decoration for Merit to Spatial and Municipal Administration

(Odznaka "Zasluzony dla Gospodarki Przestrzennej i Komunalnej")

Instituted by the Government on May 9, 1985 as the Decoration for Merit to Spatial Administration (Odznaka "Zasluzony dla Gospodarki Przestrzennej"), amended and altered the following year. Conferred in two classes (gold and silver) to workers of spatial and municipal administration for mertorious and outstanding work in the area of architectural and municipal planning and construction control.

Badge 1985: pentagonal plaque, 28 x 30 mm. The obverse shows an outline map of Poland with the inscription MINISTERSTWO / ADMINISTRACJI / I GOSPODARKI / PRZESTRZENNEJ (Ministry od Spatial Administration and Economy) inside. The reverse bore the inscription ZA / WZOROWA / PRACE / I ZASLUGI (for exemplary work and merit) within the alike map.

Badge 1986: an identical plaque. On the obverse, within an outline map of Poland there is the following inscription: ZASLUZONY / DLA GOSPODARKI : PRZESTRZENNEJ / I KOMUNALNEJ, separated by the picture of a building. The inscription on the reverse reads MINISTER / BUDOWNICTWA / GOSPODARKI /PRZESTRZENNEJ / I KOMUNALNEJ (Minister of Construction and Spatial and Municipal Administration).

Suspension: gold or silver metal bar, 28 x 10 mm, with a white and red enemeled stripe across the center.
